A powerful nor’easter officially hit the United States East Coast on Friday morning. The storm is expected to affect coastal cities from Georgia to Maine. Meteorologists are describing the nor’easter as a “bomb cyclone” meaning the barometric pressure is dropping quickly. The National Weather Service of Boston warned that the storm is a life and death situation. Winds are expected to reach up to 50 MPH alongside a mix of rain, snow and storm surge.
