Report: Trump Didn't Take Kelly's Joke About God Punishing Him 'So Well'

President Trump reportedly didn't take John Kelly's joke about God punishing him "so well," reports CBS News.

White House Chief of Staff John Kelly recently made a joke about his job being a punishment from God, and CBS News reports, citing sources, that President Trump wasn't amused.
According to the outlet's White House correspondent, Major Garrett, Trump "believes he gave Kelly a lot of power when he arrived, and thinks Kelly should remember and appreciate that — not suggest he was cursed."
Kelly made the remark on Thursday during an event marking the 15th anniversary of the Department of Homeland Security.  "The last thing I wanted to do was walk away from one of the great honors of my life, being the secretary of Homeland Security, but I did something wrong and God punished me, I guess," Kelly said. Since moving to the White House about eight months ago, Kelly has found himself immersed in a number of highly publicized controversies. Most recently, such reports have involved Jared Kushner, President Trump's son-in-law and senior adviser.
Neither of them reportedly has plans to vacate their jobs anytime soon.
