Lake Greeson Peak Flooding (3 of 3) March 1, 2018

More rain for Pike County Arkansas! It rained steady and heavy for two days at the end of February, 27-28th. It had already rained a tremendous amount last week, then we had 1 1/2 days of clear weather, and the rain started again. Lake Greeson was already at flood stage and this latest rain brought it up to about 2 feet from the level that the spillway would take effect. Narrows dam is closed because the flooding is also bad on the other side of the lake. So the lake jumped up to almost creeping onto the highway. Here's a bit of what it looked like at places like Self Creek Marina, the Little Missouri river, Star of the West recreation area, Hwy 70 landing, and Arrowhead Point recreation area.
