Exxon Quits Russian Joint Venture Due To 2014 Sanctions

According to a report by Reuters on Thursday, Exxon Mobile will abandon some joint ventures with Russia's Rosneft, citing sanctions imposed in 2014, while the Russian company claimed the exit would result in major losses for its US partner. An Exxon and Rosneft spokesman reportedly said that Exxon's exit will not affect the Sakhalin project off the eastern coast of Russia.
