Russia has tested a new generation of nuclear weapons that can not be intercepted and are capable of hitting the US. Vladimir Putin accompanied his announcement with a computer-generated video showing the missiles arching towards the United States on a map of the world. The Russian president said that these new weapons would render NATO’s US-led defence “useless”. The new weapons include a nuclear-powered cruise missile and a nuclear-powered underwater drone, both immune to enemy intercept.
