White House communications director Hope Hicks consulted her lawyer before answering whether or not she has ever lied on behalf of the president. When a CBS News representative asked Hicks if she has lied for President Trump, she took "five to 10 minutes" before responding that she had told "white lies" for him but hadn't lied with respect to the Russia investigation. Hicks is now being investigated as part of the Congressional investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 election. She announced Wednesday that she would be stepping down from her White House post.
