6. Brain Wash Slide at Wet ‘N Wild in Orlando Florida\r
This water slide at the Wet N Wild Park in Orlando is a whole new experience. You can ride in groups of two or four in large rafts. The rafts are sent down a 53-foot drop and into a completely dark funnel. Most water slides are open, but the Brainwash encloses its riders and puts on a light show inside, creating an entirely new experience for veteran water park visitors. The funnel is 65-feet tall, meaning youll fly to incredible heights before sliding around again.\r

5. The Wildebeest at Holiday World in Santa Claus, Indiana\r
Its hard to top being the city that celebrates Christmas all-year-round, but Santa Claus, Indiana made it happen by devising a water coaster that was voted #1 Water Park Ride in the world. The Wildebeest water slide is so much more than a simple water slide. Instead, its probably better classified as a water coaster. The Wildebeest begins by hoisting its riders up a ramp and then sending them flying downhill, through tunnels, up and down seven more hills, and around a spiral. The Wildebeest water coaster lasts for 2 and a half minutes, making it the second longest water slide in the world--the first is also located in the same water park.\r

4. Jumeirah (Ju-meer-ah) Sceirah (scare-ah) in Dubai\r
At Wild Wadi Waterpark in Dubai, they know that the anticipation is half of the fun. The people at Wild Wadi build up the fun and excitement by extending that moment of asking yourself, “Why did I decide to do this?” and keeping you in a capsule at the top of the slide. There is no countdown, so youll never be sure when the floor is about to drop out from under you. The slide is not vertical, but that doesnt mean you wont build up some serious momentum. Top speeds on this slide can reach 50 miles per hour. There are two identical slides side by side, meaning not only is your wait time cut in half to go over and over again, but we cant help but think theres some friendly competition involved in riding. 3. Insano Slide in Fortaleza, Brazil\r
This slide is certainly not for the faint of heart. Standing at 135-feet off the ground, it is a heart-pounding experience. Until new, it was ually considered the tallest water slide in the world--the one that took its place is coming up in just a bit. From the top, you can see the rest of this incredible beach-side water park. The drop from the top of the slide is nearly vertical, and for better or worse, you wont be able to see the drop over your feet before you head down. You gown the slide in the safest way possible--on your back, legs crossed, and hands over your chest. This way youll stay on the slide as you reach speeds of up to 65 miles per hour. On the way down, your picture is taken, so youll only ever have to go down the slide once in your life to remember it forever.\r

2. Verruckt Water slide in Kansas City, Kansas\r
In July of new, the Verruckt Water Slide took its place in the Guinness Book of World Records as the tallest water slide in the world. It stood at 168 feet tall--the height of a 17 storey building--and included a hill in the middle to keep the fun going. Unlike other slides, this one is almost designed like a rollercoaster. You gown down with your party in a raft that seats three. The raft goes down and then is propelled up the hill with water jets. The slide itself is so steep, your raft can reach an incredible top speed of 70-miles per hour. Unfortunately, the ride was shut down indefinitely in 2016 due to an accident involving a raft going airborne. In order for the slide to be safe for future riders, engineers will need to decommission the slide and create a new design.\r

Okay, okay. So maybe this one isnt terrifying, but it is absolutely gorgeous. The Italians have done away with the faux beaches, fake wave pools, and plastic sea creatures that are a staple of any waterpark. Instead, they decided to make use of what was right in front of us all along: the endless ocean.The water slide itself has three levels. Each level has its own crystal clear pool, where you can relax and enjoy an unbeatable view of the Mediterranean sea. The last slide ends not in its own pool, but in its own ocean.
