What are the breakthroughs we'll all be talking about in the year ahead? A new type of medicine will be on all of our lips. It's called personalised medicine.

Personalised medicine customises treatment to an individual's needs using their genes. It's powerful, precise and effective. And there's one breakthrough in particular that will get our attention - a new drug that marks a step change in our battle against cancer. 2017 will be important historically because of the approval of a gene therapy treatment, called CAR-T therapy.
