NPA files on NewsX: Case no. 8 allied perfumers; most exhaustive probe yet

It is day 5 of the 100 day mega NewsX campaign. Today we bring to you case number 8 pertaining to Delhi-based allied perfumers.
This is a story of how a family duo went ahead and conned a consortium of banks to the tune of over 2,200 crore rupees by running shell companies. They featured on our NPA list for a scam to the tune of Rs 50 crore, but as we dug further into the paper trail, what we unearthed was a scam of thousands of crores.
Though allied perfumers had repaid the loan, the promoters - Sanjay Jain and Rajiv Jain - set up a string of 17 companies under the banner of Surya Vinayak group.
