A driver for President Trump's motorcade was detained on Monday after a gun was reportedly found in his bag. The firearm was discovered during a screening conducted near Mar-a-Lago and not long before the president was due to depart for his area golf course, reports USA Today. The individual, who is an outside contractor hired to operate one of the press vans, said he'd forgotten to leave the weapon in his personal vehicle. Nonetheless, he and the other van drivers were replaced by White House staff members. That was not the only press van related incident to occur that morning. There was also a small fender bender involving one of the transport vehicles and a Secret Service car, according to The Hill. No injuries were reported and the damage is said to be minor.
