India's Supreme Court Ends 200 Year-Old Water Dispute

On Friday, India's top court may have finally ended a sometimes bloody dispute that has gone on for centuries over the allocation of water from a river to states in South India. The country's Supreme Court has set a fixed allocation of water for the next 15 years to the states, as well as created an independent body to regulate the release of water from the Cauvery river.
