Free Verse | Vikram Seth reads his poem 'Can't'

After a gap of some 20 years, even as his readers await the sequel to the novel “A Suitable Boy”, Vikram Seth has published a book of poetry, “Summer Requiem”. Many of the poems in this collection are deeply personal, and speak of the pain and anguish of lost love. Seth felt he couldn’t put himself in a state of mind to read the poems that had a “heavy charge of personal meaning”. So, he reads “Can’t”.
