The father later wrote online: ''Our family bought an echo dot and use it mainly for listening to music.
''My wife and sons love to ask Alexa to play a song and then we have impromptu dance parties.
''One day, our 1-year-old walked up to it and started trying to talk to Alexa, and he was actually getting it to respond to him.''
