2016 established Merryn Jeann as a feature vocalist and songwriter to take serious note of. With 160 million plays and counting on one track alone - ‘Aloha’ produced by French artist Møme - it’s no wonder her worldwide fan base is aching to hear what this girl does next. Merryn has been compared to artists Amy Winehouse, Feist and Yukimi Nagano (Little Dragon), herself drawing vocal inspiration from diverse acts like Nai Palm (Hiatus Kaiyote), Laura Marling and Moses Sumney. Yes, that sounds like a patchwork, but Merryn’s style is no edit, it’s one that is distinctively her own.
A worldwide tour with Tora performing co-write ‘Overcome’ at festivals Glastonbury, Best Kept Secret and Fusion to name a few. A delicate balance between collaboration and her solo act - a contrast from dancing thousands, and candlelit intimate performances - was set, made obvious by her honed versatile act.
Merryn’s debut EP is formed by 8 (predominantly live) stripped back (voice and piano/guitar) songs weaving jazz,folk and soul genres with cinematic piano pieces, all braving silence and simplicity, energetically inspired by the bonafide power of artists Nina Simone, Astrud Gilberto, Erykah Badu and Eric Satie.

En 2016, Merryn Jeann s’est établie comme une chanteuse et auteur-compositrice hors du commun. Avec 160 millions d’écoutes pour une seule chanson - 'Aloha' produite par l'artiste français Møme - il n'est pas étonnant que ses fans du monde entier attendent avec impatience ce qu’elle fera ensuite. Merryn a été comparée aux artistes Amy Winehouse, Feist et Yukimi Nagano (Little Dragon), elle-même inspirée par des artistes comme Nai Palm (Hiatus Kaiyote), Laura Marling et Moses Sumney.
