The show premiered on Fox on January 4, 2018. This show is based on an Israeli format called The Final Four.
The four judges are Sean Combs, DJ Khaled, Meghan Trainor, and Charlie Walk. However, because of sexual assault allegations against him, Walk withdrew from the show after taping episode 5, leaving only the three remaining judges in the finale. The show is hosted by Fergie. The winner will receive the grand prize of being named iHeartRadio's "On the Verge" artist and be awarded a recording contract with Republic Records, through Universal Music Group.
