RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat says the organization has the ability to prepare an “army” to fight for the country within three days, if such a situation arises. Mr. Bhagwat exhorted the RSS workers to set an example of good conduct in their personal, family and social life. Reacting to the statement, Congress President Rahul Gandhi said that Bhagwat’s comment was an “insult to every Indian, our flag and every soldier who saluted it.” He added that that it was “shameful” of Bhagwat to “disrespect” the army and demanded that the RSS apologise for it.
