Vinícius Júnior
Vinícius José Paixão de Oliveira Júnior, better known as Vinícius Júnior (born 12 July 2000) is a Brazilian footballer. He currently plays for Flamengo.
In March 2017, aged just 16 he helped Brazil U17 win the Under-17 South American Championship, scoring 7 goals and being named the tournament’s best player.
He has been dubbed the "next Neymar". Vinicius Junior has been the main standout young player at the club since emerging to prominence in the Under-13 side at Flamengo.
Vinícius debuted for Flamengo on 13 May 2017 as an 82nd minute substitute in a Brazilian Série A 1-1 draw against Atlético Mineiro. Two days after, on 15 May 2017, Vinícius extended his contract with Flamengo until 2022 with a transfer fee set of €45 million.
