Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson Gets $20 Million Payday for Upcoming Film According to The Hollywood Reporter, The Rock will be paid $20 million for his role in the upcoming action comedy Red Notice. This is his first time ever crossing over into $20 million territory for a film. Director Rawson Marshall Thurber will also receive $10 million for his role in production. Johnson will play a member of INTERPOL, the world's highest police organization. The film was won by Universal and Legendary Studios in a bidding against New Line, Sony and Paramount. The budget is expected to be somewhere between $125 to $150 million. Red Notice will start shooting in 2019.
