Nick Carter Rape Accuser Files Police Report Against Backstreet Boys Singer

Melissa Schuman, the former Dream singer who accused Nick Carter of rape, has filed a police report against the performer.
She submitted the report in Santa Monica, Calif. on Wednesday, February 7, RadarOnline.com can confirm. Later that day, she took to Twitter to share the news.
“I’m finally doing what I thought I could no longer do. I’m filing a police report #timesup #bebrave #bethechange #metoo thank you @RAINN [the Rape, Abuse & Incest National Network] for empowering me to take this step,” she wrote.
Sexual assault accusations against Carter surfaced late last year, when Radar exclusively reported that a 20-year-old fan accused him of assault in 2006. Though the alleged victim went to police, charges were never filed against the Backstreet Boys singer.
Schuman, 33, then spoke out about the alleged rape on her personal blog. In her recount, she claimed she was at a house party in 2006 when the male singer forced his penis into her mouth. While she came forward with the claims, the case was dismissed that same year after investigators did not find sufficient evidence.
When the #MeToo movement began, Schuman decided to speak of the alleged rape again.
Carter has denied all accusations of wrongdoing against him.
