The 60-year-old Laoshahe Bridge in central China’s Henan province was successfully blown up in a controlled explosion on February 6.

The footage shows the destruction of the 150-meter-long bridge from different angles. A great amount of dust, smoke and debris was blasted into the Laosha River.

The bridge was closed after it was deemed unsafe for vehicular traffic between the city of Dingcheng and Huaiyang County.

The Dingcheng town hall has decided to build a new bridge at the same site.
