This day in honor of the wounded of war, civilians and combatants, is commemorated on the 4th day of the Islamic month of Cha'ban, which saw the birth of Abu Fadhl al-Abbas b. 'Ali, mutilated and killed during the Battle of Karbala in defending Imam Hussein.
“We live in a world of wolves. There is no international law, there is only the law of the jungle. The strong eats the weak. If we are weak, we shall be eaten. If we are stronger, the world will respect us.”
