Cashews 1 Green Chilli For Coconut Milk:- Coconut, chopped and soaked in lukewarm water Water For the Gravy:- 1 tsp. Ghee ½ tsp. Cumin Seeds 1 stick Cinnamon 1 Cardamom Pod 1 Clove 1 Bay Leaf 4-5 Black Peppercorns ½ cup Green Peas, steamed Salt, to taste 1 tsp. Raw Sugar Cashew Cream (2 tsp. Cashews soaked and ground) Method:- - Steam the vegetables in a steamer. - Grind the steamed onion, cashews and green chilli together with water to a smooth paste. - Transfer the steamed fenugreek to cold water and squeeze out the water from it. - In a mixer/grinder, grind the coconut with water and run through a sieve. - In a wok heat ghee and add cumin seeds, cinnamon, cardamom, clove, bay leaf, black peppercorns, cashew-green chilli paste, coconut milk, fenugreek, green peas, salt, sugar and stir. - Add cashew cream and turn the flame off. Methi Matar Malai is ready to eat!
