House GOP Facing Yet Another Shutdown Deadline

On Monday night, House GOP leaders will meet to decide how to avoid another federal shutdown. According to Republican lawmakers and aides, House Speaker Paul Ryan and others are considering whether to attach additional funds for the Pentagon to a continuing resolution to keep the government open into late March. However, House Democrats, who want an equal increase in defense and non-defense spending, have said they will not support such a move.
