Report Suggests FBI's Inert Investigation Allowed Nassar To Abuse At Least 40 People
  • 6 years ago
According to a report by the New York Times, after an investigation was opened by the FBI regarding Larry Nassar's then-alleged sexual abuse, Nassar abused at least 40 more girls and young women before being taken into custody more than a year later. The FBI was first notified about allegations of sexual abuse by Nassar in July 2015. At the time, the report listed only three victims, two of which were not interviewed by agents assigned to the case for nearly a year. Now, the Nassar's accusers number at least 265. The article suggests that it was the FBI's inert pace that allowed Nassar's abuse to continue unnecessarily.
