Burnt hand doesn't stop Johor ruler from attending Thaipusam celebrations

A burn injury on his right hand due to kitchen mishaps did not stop Johor ruler Sultan Ibrahim Sultan Iskandar from attending the state's annual Thaipusam celebrations yesterday.

Although his injured right hand prevented him from shaking hands with the people, the ruler still received warm greetings and cries of "Daulat Tuanku".

According to a statement, the ruler who has a penchant for cooking had sustained burns to his right hand on Sunday while preparing food for his children.
