Towers of Black Smoke and Smoldering Fires Smother East Damascus After Munitions Fall

Towers of black smoke darkened the sky, flames smoldered on the ground, and fire jumped out the windows of buildings after missiles hit the town of Harasta in East Damascus on January 28.In this footage, rescuers run down narrow alleyways towards flames, calling out to residents who are trying to escape. They urge them to hurry. Smoke fills the air above the larger road, and multiple fires are visible on the upper stories of buildings.Over 18 missiles reportedly filled with napalm struck the town, local news outlets said.
