*FAUX LOC FAQ*\r
\r
Q: How long does it last?\r
A: Faux locs using the Jazz Nicole Method can last up to 8 weeks. However the recommended time is 4-6 weeks for protective styles.\r
\r
Q: How can I wash it/ take care of it?\r
A: my advice for washing is to wash your hair every two weeks. Start by spraying a scalp cleansing/conditioning mixture on the scalp with a spray bottle ( equal parts of apple cider vinegar and coconut oil is what I use ). Spray the mixture in the shower, this will get messy. Rinse the hair with water and proceed to shampooing the roots of your hair. Gently rub the shampoo in using your fingers and rinse the shampoo out. I prefer to use a scalp oil instead using a rinse-out conditioner. Let the hair air dry and do NOT blow dry the hair “ to speed up the process “. Please check out my Faux Loc Maintenance Video Here: \r
\r
Q: How do I remove it?\r
A: Please Refer to these removal videos: \r
\r
\r
\r
Q: Can this work on long hair?\r
A: Yes. ( the longer the better )\r
\r
Q: How do you moisturize your hair with this style in?\r
A: Before braiding my hair for this style I moisture my hair throughly with Shea Moisture lo porosity leave-in detangler \r
I use jamaican black castor oil on my roots and my scalp every other night \r
\r
\r
Q: How do you part your hair?\r
A: I just part it. I start in the back and I just feel my way around. I dont stress about trying to make my parts straight or perfectly even. I may make a video in the future but I really dont have any other tips to give regarding this. \r
\r
Q: How long does this take?\r
A: every style takes a different amount of time. It all depends on the amount of locs and sections. 4-6 hours is usually the standard.\r
\r
Q: How does this look with different locs and/or colors?\r
A: please check out my hair page on instagram to see the #jazznicolemethod recreated on different people From everyday people to Youtubers, stylists, and even celebrities. \r
\r
Q: Why are people stealing your method and claiming it as their own?\r
A: Not sure why people have to be so dirty in the Youtube world. However, with the help of my supporters, we can spread #jazznicolemethod and give proper credit when recreating my techniques. That would be greatly appreciated.\r
