Delhi Daredevils are one of the eight founding franchises in the IPL, but they have never won the competition. After a great start which saw them make the semi-finals in the first two seasons, they have really struggled recently and will be desperate to put that behind them. इंडियन प्रीमियर लीग 2018 सीजन के लिए नीलामी में दो बार कोलकाता को खिताब दिलाने वाले कप्तान गौतम गंभीर की अपनी घरेलू टीम दिल्ली डेयरडेविल्स में वापसी हुई है। दिल्ली ने गंभीर के लिए 2.8 करोड़ रुपये की कीमत अदा की है। अंडर-19 भारतीय टीम के कप्तान प्रतिभाशाली बल्लेबाज पृथ्वी शॉ के लिए दिल्ली ने 1 करोड़ 20 लाख रुपये की कीमत चुकाई। पिछले सीजन में दिल्ली डेयरडेविल्स के लिए खेल चुके कागिसो रबादा के लिए चेन्नई ने 4.2 करोड़ रुपये की बोली लगाई थी, लेकिन दिल्ली ने राइट टू मैच का उपयोग करते हुए एक बार फिर रबाडा को अपने साथ जोड़ लिया। वहीं दिल्ली के लिए पिछले सीजन में खेलने वाले संजू सैमसन इस बार राजस्थान के लिए खेलते नजर आएंगे। राजस्थान ने उनके लिए आठ करोड़ रुपये की कीमत दी है। सैमसन पहले भी राजस्थान के लिए खेल चुके हैं।
