Land Rover catches fire on the M3 near Basingstoke

A lorry driver's dash cam has captured the dramatic moment a Land Rover caught fire on the M3 near Basingstoke on Friday.

The video shows the Land Rover overtake the lorry and drive for several hundred metres with what looks like smoke coming from the undercarriage.

Suddenly flames appear beneath the vehicle and the driver pulls over onto the hard shoulder and leaps out of his vehicle in a cloud of smoke.
