Italian Student in Cairo Was Murdered Over His Research, Prosecutor Says

ROME — An Italian doctoral student brutally killed in Cairo had been in the cross hairs of Egyptian surveillance services until the day of his disappearance,

that Italian prosecutors would do all they could to "bring to justice those responsible for the kidnapping, torture and murder of Giulio," he wrote.
