Family Feud! Cousin Amy SLAMS Famous Duggar Clan’s Minister

One Duggar family member just shunned the Christian brood’s beloved mentor, Bill Gothard, claiming his principles are “questionable.”
Famed Duggar cousin, Amy King, who has always been outspoken about being raised differently than her outspoken Christian family, tweeted disgust for Bill Gothard. Gothard is the founder of the Institute of Basic Life Principles, a ministry the Duggars heavily support.
“I have to be honest, and true to myself by tweeting this. I do not support Bill Gothard and the Institute of Biblical Life Principles in any way, shape or form,” King tweeted.
“I find his ‘teachings’ extremely questionable,” she continued.
King’s honesty comes three years after Gothard was slapped with a $500,000 lawsuit for covering up sexual abuse and harassment.
Ten former females filed the suit in Illinois’ DuPage County Circuit Court in 2015. One of the alleged victims claimed the Duggar minister raped her, while another alleged he sexually molested her as a young girl.
According to Illinois court documents obtained by Radar in 2016, Gothard wrote an apology letter to his accusers.
Shortly after, men joined the lawsuit, bringing the total amount of plaintiffs to 18, Radar reported.
King explained to her 80,000 Twitter followers that she has received “so many” emails and direct messages asking if she supports Gothard’s “so-called ‘principles.’”
“I just wanted to clear the air,” she explained.
Dillon King’s wife added that she is a Christian.
“I believe in God’s good grace and freedom to be ourselves! God gave us emotions, personalities and He wants us to live our best life,” she expressed in another tweet.
Gothard is known for teaching a legalistic viewpoint of the Bible – and King shaded the Duggar’s minister for it.
“Legalism is the opposite of what my Bible teaches,” she wrote.
