As the debate over DACA continues, on Wednesday the DOJ put 23 local governments on notice, stating they must prove they are abiding by an immigration law if they want to continue receiving federal assistance from the government. Letters were sent out demanding documented proof that their law enforcement officials are sharing information with federal immigration agents. Cities who received the demand letter include, Chicago, Denver, Los Angeles, New York, and San Francisco.
