Breaking Tradition, Trump Team Unleashes Verbal Assault On U.S. Dollar

Breaking from a long tradition of officials showing support for a strong U.S. currency, the Trump administration on Wednesday the Trump administration appears to have declared war, on the U.S. dollar. During a speech at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin landed a hard blow to Wall Street celebrating the impact a weaker dollar can have on U.S. companies as it makes exports cheaper for other countries to buy.
