India still in Oscar race: Ali Fazal’s ‘Victoria and Abdul’ gets two nominations. Rajkummar Rao’s Newton maybe out of the Oscar race but that has not stopped any other Indian film from entering the Oscar race. Fantasy drama ‘The Shape of Water’ has grabbed the most number of nominations at the Oscar awards. The drama is based on the cold war-era, starring Sally Hawkins who grabbed the nomination for Best actress. The film will also stand as a competition to Ali Fazal’s Victoria and Abdul in the category of Best Costume Design.
