Twitter COO Noto Resigns To Head Online Lender SoFi

On Tuesday, Twitter's COO Anthony Noto resigned to join online lender Social Finance inc as its CEO, sending the microblogging site's shares down more than 3 percent in early trading. Noto first lead Twitter's successful IPO in 2013 before officially joining the company the following year. As the company's COO Noto had been responsible for Twitter's business and revenue-generating operations. Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey said in a statement, "Anthony has been an incredible advocate for Twitter and a trusted partner to me and our leadership team."
