Salmonella Linked To Jimmy John's Raw Sprouts

An outbreak of Salmonella has been traced to raw sprouts at several Jimmy John’s locations. On Friday, the CDC and FDA announced that at least eight people have been infected with a similar strain of Salmonella Montevideo in Illinois, Wisconsin, and Minnesota. Seven became sick soon after eating a meal with raw clover sprouts at Jimmy John’s in Illinois and Wisconsin. The cases have all been relatively mild, with no reported deaths or hospitalizations.
