Marine Corps Prepares to Field Infantry with M27 Rifle

The Marine Corps is preparing to equip its infantry troops with a new combat rifle.
Although the M27 has been adopted by the Marines, its rollout has been slow.
The M27 Infantry Automatic Rifle was introduced by the Marines to replace the M249 Squad Automatic Weapon.
That means, one Marine in a fire team carried the M27, but now, the Corps is looking to replace all of their infantry rifles with the new weapon system.
