Wall Street Chugs On After Government Shutdown

The government shutdown looks set to end — at least for a few weeks. The deal will keep the government funded until February 8. The shutdown has had little effect on wallstreet. Biotech M&A is off to a blistering start in 2018, with two blockbuster deals announced on Monday. The more than $20 billion in pharma mergers and acquisitions on Monday means a windfall of as much as $185 million in fees for four investment banks. Meanwhile, amazon has launched it's amazon go store.
