Who Will Save DACA?

A big part of the government shutdown has been the debate over DACA, the recently ended program that allows 700,000 millenials brought to the U.S. as children to stay. DACA has been used as a wedge to drive democrats towards a spending deal. The bottom line is that no one knows anything about how long DACA will be around if Congress fails to strike a deal. President trump could unilaterally save the deal, which would enrage republicans and the justice department.
