Delta Air To Tighten Rules For Onboard Service Animals

Delta Airlines announced on Friday that they will, effective March first, require passengers seeking to fly with service and emotional support animals to present additional documents outlining the passenger’s need for the pet and proof of its training and vaccinations, 48 hours prior to the flight. The airline made this decision based on what they said was a 150 percent increase since 2015 in service and support animals, often dogs, who accompany people with disabilities onboard.
