A suspicious object was found near gate 4 of Mahabodhi temple in Bihar's Bodh Gaya. It was later confirmed that the object was explosive. Following the development, Bihar Police and Bomb Disposal Squad rushed to the spot. They have recovered the suspicious object. Meanwhile, security has been beefed up around the temple. The explosive was later defused by the security personals. In 2013 a series of 10 bomb went off near Mahabodhi temple which injured 5 people including 2 monks.
