If it wasn’t for his love of music, rapper and lyricist Brian Thompson may not even be here today. Through his passion for words and melodies, he was able to overcome his inner battles and five year struggle with drugs and alcohol. Today, he has created a unique sound to help spread positivity and remain an encouraging influence. He is Stealing Oceans.
Stealing Oceans' debut single, “Blueprint” was released on October 13, 2017 and a follow up single, “Follow the Lights”, will be released on November 17, 2017. Their full EP, Let TheKids Play, is slated to be released in early 2018. Thompson recently signed a management deal with Starstruck Entertainment in Nashville, Tennessee and has been nominated for “Best Live Act” three years in a row at the Nashville Industry Music Awards.
Thompson's band consists of Ryan Swinehart(saxophone), Sam Woods (guitar), Kipp Wilde (keys), Pat Graves (bass) and David Martin (drums). Together, they are traveling the United States sharing their story.
Together, Thompson and his band hope to encourage their fans to be appreciative each day. Thompson takes time out of his schedule to give back and share his story with others. He hosts numerous charity events and actively raises awareness and donations for Cystic Fibrosis and Lyme Disease.
Thompson is using his platform to make a difference in people’s lives. He strives to inspire others with his message to Stay Youthful, Be Grateful, and Always Love.
