Meghan Markle stopped for a chat with one of her fellow citizens in front of Cardiff Castle while her future husband joked with the huge crowd that had gathered to cheer the couple on Thursday (18 January).

The US actress asked Haley Johnston how long has she been living in Cardiff before saying "I'm Meghan, so nice to meet you!"

Meanwhile, Prince Harry joked about the Welsh weather with excited royal fans.

The couple arrived one hour late due to a train delay.

Their trip to Cardiff is meant to celebrate the people, culture and heritage of Wales.
