Jewish Leaders Detained By Police During Pro-DREAM Act Protest at Senate Rotunda

At least 10 protesters, including Jewish rabbis and community leaders, were detained during a protest in support of the DREAM Act in the rotunda of the Russell Senate Office Building in Washington on January 17, according to reports.The protesters sang, “We will not be moved,” as they sat in the center of the rotunda to demonstrate on behalf of those affected by the delay in the passing of the DREAM, or Development, Relief, and Education for Alien Minors Act, that would allow youths residing in the US illegally to seek avenues for legal residence.Police are seen in this video detaining protesters with zip-ties.
