IoT Enabled Wireless Digital Data acquisition and Warning Systems for Civil Structures
  • 6 years ago
• This project involves behaviour of three storey building frame model subjected to base harmonic motions, the acceleration at each floor is determined using sensors, and data acquisition system typically converts analog waveform into digital waveform.
• The structure is tested in a conventional configuration in which the building is rigidly attached to the shake table platform (foundation).
• Laboratory test models are excited by shake table using time scaled prescribed earthquake motions and the floor responses measured by the accelerometers are recorded and stored.
• Data acquiring tool sensors are used to determine the natural frequencies of the model and the floor displacements.
• The focus of this course on determination of structural parameters, recording sensors’ data, establishing wireless technology where data can be retrieved from anywhere, developing suitable alarm systems to notify when acceleration values reach threshold value.
• We mainly use Arduino UNO and ESP8266 NodeMCU boards to acquire data from ADXL345 sensors and transfer them to cloud.
