US Withholds Aid for Palestinians After Trump's Tweet The United States is cutting back more than half of the funding it provides to a United Nations Agency on behalf of Palestinians. The news comes two weeks after President Trump pledged to cut the organization's funding. The U.S. will withhold a $125 million payment to the United Nations Relief Works Agency. State Department spokeswoman Heather Nauert later revealed: The U.S. will released $60 million in funding, while indefinitely withholding the remaining sum.
