Four Chinese miners who have been trapped underground for 36 days are now free in a dramatic rescue late Friday, according to China’s state-run media.
The men, who were extracted through two access tunnels rescue teams had drilled, are said to be in stable condition and were taken to a nearby hospital for an evaluation.
The mine collapsed back on Dec. 25 in China’s eastern Shandong province.
