People across New Jersey and parts of New York and Connecticut have felt earthquake-like shaking as the result of a sonic boom caused by military aircraft, seismologists say. There have been no reports of damage. Seismologists from the United States Geological Survey (USGS) said the tremors were caused by a sonic boom in the vicinity of Hammonton, about 37 miles south of Trenton. It is believed that one or more aircraft from McGuire Air Force Base were responsible for breaking the sound barrier, however BNO news is working to confirm that exact cause.
