Katie Couric opened up to Entertainment Tonight on Saturday about the firing of her former co-host Matt Lauer. Lauer was fired by NBC News in late November for alleged sexual misconduct. Couric reflected that “it’s been really crushing,” and that making sense of the situation for he has been “almost impossible and very challenging.” Couric also addressed a remark that recently resurfaced which she made about Lauer during an appearance on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen in 2012.
