According to the director of the Longevity Institute at the University of Southern California, Valter Longo, believes that specific diets can help people live longer. According to Business Insider, there is also, “solid evidence that suggests periodic fasting could prolong lifespan and prevent disease. Longo has designed a diet that provides the benefits of fasting while still letting people eat normally.” He calls it the fasting-mimicking diet.
